This ride may not be the most popular around here but to my mind is one of most scenic of the area. The climb to Monte Brè starts right in the center town of Lugano, measures approximately 8 km and offers breathtaking views from right from the start until the Bellavista terrace where you will enjoy the best possible vista of Lugano, Monte Salvatore and the surrounding mountains. The first (and last) part of the ride is farely easy and flat and the climb to the top of Brè does not ever get over 7/8%

We strongly suggest riding this tour on GRAVEL bikes instead of road bikes because the road descending from the top of Sighignola (The Balcony) is often rough and full of large holes due to hard winter weather!
